99 missing Ducks

This duck, no. 44, was the only one out of a hundred released in to the river Teme that arrived at the finishing line at Rochford Fete's duck race. Anyone seen 99 plastic ducks?

Sunday's service at Kyre

The broadcast service from Kyre on Sunday was excellent. If I've mastered the technology you should be able to listen/download the service but it's 42 Mb so it's quite large.

Later that morning we were on Beavan's farm for our Rogation service. It was a sensational setting with inspirational people.

Asking

This Sunday, 29th May is Rogation - a time to ask for God's blessing on the crops and livestock.

In Teme Valley South churches we're focusing our celebrations on Kyre. At (around) 7.00am there will be a service recorded there  broadcast on BBC Hereford & Worcester.
At 8.30 am there will be a prayer book Communion service followed by a light breakfast.
At 10.00am we'll be on the neighbouring farm asking for God's blessing on the work that they and the other farmers of this area do

Great fun was had by all

Teme Valley South Churches hosted a scalectrix event on Saturday. Hanley Village hall was packed with children and families having a great time.

Child protection policies mean that we shouldn't publish any photos of children, so the faces are fuzzed out.

The big question was, when can we do it again?

So far so good

Last Sunday was the first in our new pattern services and so far so good. With hindsight the Sunday after Easter day was always going to be challenging. It's known as "Low Sunday" for a reason!

However we had around a dozen for the early communion and a similar number for the All Age. Perhaps more importantly than numbers was that people at both services found them helpful.  Someone from the All Age service emailed saying "thanks for the service this morning and the enjoyable interactive thoughts ".
This coming Sunday (8th May) it's 8.30 BCP Communion at Kyre, 10 All Age at Hanley William and 6.30 at Rochford
