New direction for blog

When I set this blog up there wasn't a website for the churches and this was the quickest and easiest way to  get something online.  Now there is a website for the churches and so the need for this blog has changed.
I'll try and use it for what a blog should be for (if "should" has meaning in blogging)- thoughts & reflections on current issues.

And to start, here's a cartoon that's so true it's not funny

Historic churches cycle ride 2011

Some photos from this year. 54.2 miles (with lots of hills) 20 churches in a moving time of 4hours 49 minutes and average speed of 11.3 mph. Stopped time talking to people, for prayer & for lunch totalled 2hrs 29. You can donate online at http://www.justgiving.com/Robert-Barlow/

Rochford Organ

Repairs have started at last. Not a full £40K rebuild that would be ideal,  butabout a tenth of that amount that will prevent any deterioration & make it playable for the time being.

Historic Churches' cycle ride

That's a ride round historic churches, not historic churches going for a ride...

Bishop John and I will be cycling round ALL the churches in Stourport Deanery - a trip of 50 very hilly miles.

If you want to ride with us you're welcome as is sponsorship.

Meet at Hanley William at 10.00
