Anyone know what this is?

It's growing in the Rectory garden in a mass of different plants. It looks as though it's been cultivated (?edible?) and I don't want chop it out if it's something interesting.

  1. Well Vicar, it looks like tayberries to me, but maybe its a trick question.

  2. The plant is Rubus phoenicolasium - the common name is Japanese Wineberry. It is edible and makes wonderful jam and freezes well - treat as a raspberry. Hope this helps.
